Compliance and Performance Reporting Guideline
Overview
We use information provided by energy businesses to monitor and produce reports on their performance and compliance with regulatory obligations. This guideline sets out what retailers and distributors need to report to us.
To help ensure we receive the correct information, we ask regulated businesses to use reporting templates we have created.
Changes that come into effect on 1 July 2022
The new version of the reporting guideline and reporting templates take effect on 1 July 2022. This means that retailers and distributors need to provide the new information to us from that date. The submission dates for the different types of reporting obligations can be found in the guideline (version 7). A transitional period between 1 March and 1 July 2022 applies to provide reporting entities time to update their systems and be in a position to comply with the updated reporting guideline.
