Regulated water businesses are required to comply with a number of Acts, legislative instruments, and our codes and guidelines. Our performance reporting work enables us to ensure businesses are compliant.

Our water performance reports compare the performance of Victoria’s urban water businesses against each other and aim to inform customers about their water business.
Our new outcomes reporting process tracks how each business has assessed it’s performance against its customers’ expectations and whether customers are receiving the value they paid for.
In 2013, we approved allowances for metropolitan water businesses to help customers manage the impact of water price increases in our desalination payments monitoring study 2012.
We also conduct other studies and reviews as required.
