Overview
Temporary disruptions to VEU submissions of activities, applications and updates: 9 May to 2 June 2025
The new Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) Registry system will launch at 9am on 3 June 2025 to support the VEU program and participants.
The cut-off date to submit activities in the current VEU Registry is midday on 23 May 2025, before we transition to the new system.

Commercial and industrial heat pump water heater activity (activity 44)
There are three upgrade scenarios for installation of new commercial and industrial heat pump water heaters eligible under the VEU program:
- decommissioning one or more gas-fired hot water boilers or heaters and installing an air source heat pump water heater (44A)
- decommissioning one or more electric resistance hot water boilers or heaters and installing an air source heat pump water heater (44B)
- installing an air source heat pump water heater (44C).

Get involved
If you are interested in undertaking water heating and/or space heating/cooling activities, you can either:
- work with an accredited person who is accredited to undertake these activities
- apply for accreditation or, if you are already an accredited person, apply for additional activity approval.
Get products listed on our Register of Products
Any products installed as part of this activity must be listed on our Register of Products by the time of certificate creation. For most activities, this involves a product application process.
