The Essential Services Commission has amended the Water Industry Standards, the rules that set out the level of service water businesses must provide to customers across Victoria. The changes take effect from 1 April 2024.

Energy retailer Blue NRG Pty Ltd (Blue NRG) has paid $436,176 in penalties for allegedly breaching the Victorian energy rules1 related to guaranteed service level payments between July 2021 and June 2022.

I'm a Project Analyst at the Victorian Energy Upgrades division at the commission.
For me, a big part of enjoying my work comes from knowing that I'm part of something that really makes a difference. My division is made up of people who are passionate about our mission: helping Victorians reduce their energy bills and their greenhouse gas emissions. When I get home at the end of the day, I'm really satisfied by the work I've done.

Melbourne Water applies special drainage prices to properties in the Koo Wee Rup: Longwarry Flood Protection District and Patterson Lakes (including Quiet Lakes and Tidal Waterways areas).
