Changes to coronavirus restrictions for Victorian Energy Upgrades participants
4 June 2021
New coronavirus restrictions
The Victorian Government announced on 2 June that the current restrictions will remain in place in Melbourne for a further seven days, with some changes.
What this means for the Victorian Energy Upgrades program
- The use of doorknocking as a form of lead generation or sales in the program is not permitted for any activity anywhere in Victoria during these extended restrictions.
- In metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, upgrade activities are permitted where required for safety, emergency repairs, maintenance or continued operation of essential services.
- For metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, outdoor activities that do not involve any indoor work or engagement with households and businesses are permitted – noting that this does not permit unsolicited installations.
Regional restrictions changed from 11:59 pm Thursday 3 June 2021
Program participants should not travel from metropolitan Melbourne to regional Victoria to complete upgrade activities. If regional Victorian workers travel to metropolitan Melbourne they are covered by the restrictions in place in metropolitan Melbourne.
