The commission has taken action against Save Energy Solutions Pty Ltd (Save Energy Solutions) for allegedly breaching the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program rules.
Alleged breach
The commission alleges that Save Energy Solutions submitted doctored photos of heat pump water heater installations as evidence for multiple projects to fraudulently claim certificates.
Addressing conduct that compromises market integrity is a compliance and enforcement priority of the commission. This includes a focus on businesses that provide false information to the commission about VEU upgrades. Read more in our Regulatory Priorities 2025–26.
Our decision
We have:
- Cancelled Save Energy Solutions’ VEU accreditation. This followed a decision to immediately suspend Save Energy Solutions’ VEU accreditation in October 2025 after an initial investigation identified concerning conduct.
- Ordered the surrender and refused registration of 1,920 certificates which are allegedly non-compliant, valued at $154,080*.
