Following our 2019-20 review, we will conduct an inquiry every five years on the Port of Melbourne’s process for setting land rents. Part of this inquiry involves assessing whether the port’s rent-setting process negatively affects consumers.

This will be our first inquiry to assess the use of market power in setting and reviewing land rents at the Port of Melbourne. It covers the period 1 November 2016 to 31 October 2019.
