Rebecca Billings has been reappointed as part-time commissioner at the Essential Services Commission for a second five-year term to serve alongside fellow commissioners, Chairperson Gerard Brody, Elly Patira and Jess Young.
The Essential Services Commission’s annual report for 2023–24 reflects a year of regulatory outcomes that have supported Victorians to access essential transport, local council, water and energy services, with a focus on protecting consumers experiencing vulnerability.
On 20 June 2024, we held our 16th Community Sector Roundtable with key consumer and community representatives coming together to participate in an online forum.
After 8 years of service, Kate Symons has announced her departure from the Essential Services Commission as Chair and will conclude her current term on 30 June 2024.
