Victorian energy efficiency certificate (VEEC) creation forms update

On Wednesday 16 October 2024, we will release the following updates to Victorian energy efficiency certificate (VEEC) creation forms in the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) Registry for water heating activity (activity 3) and space heating and cooling activity (activity 6). 

Space heating and cooling (activity 6) – business and residential: VEEC Creation Form update

There are a number of space heating and cooling products registered for this activity which are manufactured to be compatible for both ducted and non-ducted installation. 

We will be updating the VEEC creation forms for this activity to include a ‘Product Type’ field for both the business and residential forms. This field will require the selection of ‘Ducted’ or ‘Non-Ducted’ via a drop-down list. 

This update will enable the award of a more accurate number of VEECs for an upgrade involving the installation of these products. 

Accredited persons will be required to use the updated VEEC creation forms for activities carried out from 16 October 2024.

Water heating (activities 3C and 3D) - residential: VEEC Creation Form update

As referenced in the Program Update published on 31 July 2024, changes to water heating, space heating and cooling, and cold room activities came into effect on 1 August 2024. 

Following an update to the VEU Registry, we have identified the following duplicated fields in the water heating activities (activities 3C and 3D) residential VEEC creation forms:

• ‘Type of replaced system’
• ‘Decommissioned Product Type’. 

We will be updating the residential VEEC creation forms for these activities to:

• remove the ‘Type of replaced system’ field
• move the ‘Decommissioned Product Type’ field so that it is before 'Tank size of replaced system (in litres if storage)' field.

Accredited persons will be required to use the updated VEEC creation form for activities submitted for creation from 16 October 2024, regardless of the Activity Date.
