Changes to coronavirus restrictions for Victorian Energy Upgrades participants
11 June 2021
New coronavirus restrictions
On Thursday 9 June 2021, the Victorian Government announced changes to restrictions for metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria from 11:59pm Thursday 10 June.
The five reasons to leave home no longer apply in metro Melbourne and the existing 10-kilometre limit has been increased to 25 kilometres.
What this means for the Victorian Energy Upgrades program
- Both in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, in home and indoor upgrades, construction, renovation and maintenance work can occur at occupied and unoccupied premises.
- Residents of metropolitan Melbourne may travel to regional Victoria for the permitted reasons, such as authorised work that cannot be done from home, but metropolitan Melbourne restrictions travel with them.
- Doorknocking as a form of lead generation or sales in the VEU program is now permitted and unsolicited installations may occur.
Masks are required indoors and outdoors. Please ensure your staff follow the directions and keep up to date by visiting www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au.
