Learn about requirements for products that can be installed under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program, and how to use our Register of Products.
Products eligible for use in the VEU program
Activities undertaken in the Victorian Energy upgrades (VEU) program must involve the installation of eligible products by accredited persons.
Eligible products
Products that meet the criteria in the program’s VEET Regulations and VEU specifications are able to be installed by accredited persons under the VEU program.
Our Register of Products lists the products (brand and model) that can be installed under each of the program's activities. Accredited persons can install any product listed on the register with the status of ‘approved’ and create Victorian energy efficiency certificates (VEECs) for its installation, provided they are accredited for the corresponding activity.
Products only need to be listed on our register at the time of certificate creation. However, accredited persons who install products not yet approved by us, do so at their own risk. VEECs can only be created for activities involving products which have been approved by us, as listed on the Register of Products.
Products installed under project-based activities
Products installed as part of project-based activities are not required to be listed on our register, with the exception of lighting and lighting equipment which must be listed as per the same criteria for lighting upgrade activities (activities 21, 34 and 35 (as applicable)).
Register of Products
You can search the Register of Products and export the register for external reference.
We do not endorse products listed on this register and will not be held liable for the failure of a product to meet claims made by the manufacturer. Please read our full disclaimer.
If a product is listed on the register as ‘pending assessment’, accredited persons are not required to submit an application for the product. However, for products with this status, accredited persons approved to undertake a relevant activity can nominate the product which helps us prioritise assessment of products most in demand under the program.

Withdrawn by ESC: We have withdrawn the application as the product is not capable of meeting the minimum criteria specified in the VEET Regulations and/or VEU specifications based on the documentation submitted.
