Overview
Public Lighting Code - Revocation
The Public Lighting Code is schedule to be entirely revoked on 31 December 2025.
However, some obligations will be transferred to the Electricity Distribution Code of Practice to take effect from 1 January 2026. The transferring obligations regarding public lighting relates to:
- minimum service standard
- negotiation to introduce new public lighting products
- guaranteed service levels
- information provision on public lighting data
