The Essential Services Commission have released final decisions on the new prices to apply from 1 July 2026 for two Victorian water businesses – Melbourne Water and North East Water.
The Essential Services Commission has announced a reduction in Victoria’s default electricity prices to apply from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027.
Recent data from the Essential Services Commission shows that 45 per cent of gas customers could save more than 15 per cent on their gas bills simply by accepting their retailer’s best gas offer.
Electricity customers, in comparison, are more likely to be on their retailer’s best offer, although 28 per cent could still save more by switching.
