VEU Registry system update: New ceiling insulation activity and minor update to commercial and industrial solar photovoltaic system activity

We released updates to the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) Registry system at 12pm on 14 April 2026 to: 

Enable the submission of installation notifications and activities for the new ceiling insulation activity (activity 48). 

• Update the commercial and industrial solar photovoltaic system activity (activity 47) to accept Solar PV Module Output (kW) with three decimal places. 
• Add a new list duplicate list view for the shower rose activity (activity 17).

Accredited persons can now add Certified Insulation Installer – EEC accreditation qualification for scheme participants that will undertake the new ceiling insulation activity, as shown in the image below:

Notify VEU of insulation installation via a new form  

Accredited persons that are accredited for the new ceiling insulation activity (activity 48) must inform the Essential Services Commission of insulation installations via a new Install notification form under the Activities area in the VEU Registry.  

The form must be completed at least 24 hours before installation and up to five days before the installation date. See images below for how this will appear in the VEU Registry:

1. Accredited persons that are accredited for the new ceiling insulation activity (activity 48) can now submit activities with activity dates from the 14 April 2026, as shown in the image below: 

2. When submitting activities, the Product Brand and Product Model fields allows searchandselect, allowing users to enter keywords to quickly locate the correct products, as shown in the image below: 
    

Commercial and industrial solar PV system activity – Solar PV Module Output update

Accredited persons that are accredited for the commercial and industrial solar photovoltaic system activity (activity 47) will be able to add up to three decimal places for the Solar PV Module Output (kW) value when adding a Solar PV Module product, as shown in the image below:

Shower rose activity – new duplicate list view  

1. A new ‘Unjustified Activity 17’ list view appears in the Activities area, highlighting that any shower‑rose installations where an address exceeds the three‑product limit, as shown in the image below: 

2. The system has been updated to correctly flag activities where more than 3 products have been installed at the same address for activity 17.
