System update: Space heating and cooling activity changes and improving address matching – September 2026

We will release an update to the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) Registry system at 12pm on 30 September 2026.

These changes include:

• Change to the space heating and cooling activity (activity 6), in line with the following updated requirements, which apply from 30 September 2026:
  • incentive cap on residential installations of multi-split air conditioning units above 20kW
  • increased mandatory consumer co-payment amounts.
• Improvements to how we handle addresses, to reduce issues with address matching.
