Clarification regarding Sunday Herald Sun energy disconnections report 3 February 2019

A report was published in the Sunday Herald Sun on 3 February 2019 on electricity disconnections. The figures quoted in the report were accurate however refer to the full 2017-18 financial year, not  the first six months only of the 2017-18 financial year as was reported.

It should also be noted that the electricity disconnection figures did not include figures from AGL or Powerdirect. The final 2017-18 Victorian Energy Market Report is expected to be released later this month. It was delayed after AGL and Powerdirect failed to meet the reporting deadline.
