Energy audit panel

We sometimes ask licensed energy retailers and distributors to undertake compliance audits.

We do this to ensure that licensees are adhering to relevant legislation and regulatory obligations. It also helps us verify the quality of data that licensees give us as part of their licence conditions.

When we ask licensees to undertake a compliance audit, we ask them to select auditors from our pre-approved audit panel.

When licensees are directed by the commission to undertake a compliance review, they are not required to select the reviewer from the audit panel.
