The functions of the Commission in relation to statutory insurers are set out in section 10B of the Essential Services Commission Act 2001. Under that section the Minister administering theĀ Accident Compensation (WorkCover Insurance) Act 1993 may request that the Commission review and provide advice or recommendations in relation to any premiums order made or proposed to be made under section 15 of that Act. Section 10B of the Essential Services Commission Act 2001 refers to the functions of the Commission in relation to statutory insurers. Under that section the Minister administering theĀ Transport Accident Act may request that the Commission review and provide advice or recommendations in relation to any Charges Order made or proposed to be made under section 110 of the Transport Act.
