The Commission may, on request from the responsible Minister, conduct reviews of the average premiums or charges proposed by the Transport Accident Commission or Victorian Workplace Authority.In addition, the Commission may be requested by the Minister for Finance to conduct other reviews relating to statutory insurance. In 2008-09, the Commission reviewed and reported on the Domestic Building Insurance Scheme for the advice of the Minister.
