Caravan Park Tariffs

The Essential Services Commission provides a schedule of the maximum tariffs that can be charged to residents of caravan parks, and site tenants in similar properties, in accordance with the Pricing Rule described in the Victorian Government's exemption order, effective 1 May 2002.

Long-term or permanent residents (and those with permanent sites) should discuss with their caravan park or site management whether charging to the maximum level is appropriate for their circumstances. There is no requirement to charge at the maximum level in all circumstances, especially for the Supply Charge. Caravan park residents covered by the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 have protections relating to pricing, including eligibility for tariff concessions.
