The Electricity Industry Act 2000 and the Gas Industry Act 2001 confer on the Commission broad discretion to develop and implement certain features of the electricity and gas RoLR schemes including the tariffs, terms and conditions upon which customers of the failed retailer would be supplied with electricity and/or gas by the retailer of last resort. The Commission requested AGL, Origin and TRUenergy, the designated retailers of last resort for the energy industry, to submit their proposed tariffs, terms and conditions for the Commission’s approval, in accordance with its legislative functions. In September 2007, the Commission received proposed RoLR customer charges from AGL, Origin and TRUenergy. Stakeholders are invited to comment on this draft decision prior to the Commission finalising its decision on RoLR customer charges.View final report.
